Pros and cons of LandFormer app for iPhone and iPad

LandFormer app good for

I like this game, and enjoy playing it. The interface is good, and the app is stable. At the same time it doesnt reach the heights of the best games in play enjoyment, so I am rating it 4/5.
This game has clean, bright graphics and an interesting pattern-recognition element to solving the puzzles in the optimal number of moves. The editor is fun to use, and its super easy to share custom levels with friends. A smooth difficulty curve, but definitely a challenge at the higher levels.
Having a lot of fun playing this so far. The puzzles get tricky, Im on medium, I cant beat the hard ones yet. I splurged and grabbed the disco theme, I think it makes it a little easier to visualize the heights of the tiles. Another classic game from Streaming Colour.
Starts easy, gets difficult really quickly. It definitely hooks you in as the levels start to get tricky. I like this game.
I dont understand all the one-star and two-star ratings that LandFormer has (in the Canadian iTunes store, at least). Its an enjoyable and challenging puzzle game. The app is free with 12 introductory levels, and $1.99 buys you 50 easy-through-difficult levels, plus the ability to share. My only complaint (and the reason for a four star rating rather than five stars) is that the current sharing mechanism is crude. The dev should create an on-line repository of user-generated levels accessible from within the game.
Im totally addicted. A challenge without making it utterly impossible

Some bad moments

This is the kind of game you dont see everyday. Colorful, relaxing, challenging and free (ok, just for a moment). Get it, and feel the experience.
Been following the developer on Twitter while he developed the program and didnt know what to expect with a name like LandFormer (still think it stinks). BUT this app is GREAT FUN as I plan each move in my head and try to solve the puzzles. Highly recommend.
You get to play a few simple demo levels and then they want you to pay $2 to download real levels, not a free app at all 
This is a short demo of an interesting game; it is crippled unless you use in-app purchase to enable saving and get more levels. Since this is a giant sales pitch anyway, the insane number of ads gets really annoying.
You get 10 "training" levels for free, which just help you understand the basic mechanics of the game. Theyre too easy to be called "fun". Admittedly, its a cool concept, and I like the graphics; but its just a trap for in-ap purchases. They could at least give you 10 real, challenging, fun levels for free, and then maybe Id consider buying more. I couldve gotten so much more with that bandwidth...
Dont waste your time. The free version only provides about ten super easy levels. I cant tell if I would like to buy the game or not. Definately not if the levels are that easy. There needs to be more levels with some being more difficult so you can tell if you want to buy the real game.
