LandFormer App Reviews

Very nice game

I like this game, and enjoy playing it. The interface is good, and the app is stable. At the same time it doesnt reach the heights of the best games in play enjoyment, so I am rating it 4/5.

Great puzzler, cool sharing feature

This game has clean, bright graphics and an interesting pattern-recognition element to solving the puzzles in the optimal number of moves. The editor is fun to use, and its super easy to share custom levels with friends. A smooth difficulty curve, but definitely a challenge at the higher levels.

Great puzzle game

Having a lot of fun playing this so far. The puzzles get tricky, Im on medium, I cant beat the hard ones yet. I splurged and grabbed the disco theme, I think it makes it a little easier to visualize the heights of the tiles. Another classic game from Streaming Colour.

Cool game

Starts easy, gets difficult really quickly. It definitely hooks you in as the levels start to get tricky. I like this game.

Awesome

Great game -completely addictive

Great puzzler, needs better level sharing

I dont understand all the one-star and two-star ratings that LandFormer has (in the Canadian iTunes store, at least). Its an enjoyable and challenging puzzle game. The app is free with 12 introductory levels, and $1.99 buys you 50 easy-through-difficult levels, plus the ability to share. My only complaint (and the reason for a four star rating rather than five stars) is that the current sharing mechanism is crude. The dev should create an on-line repository of user-generated levels accessible from within the game.

Land former

This game is a well put together puzzle game. Enjoying it!

i would do no stars if i could :/

THIS GAME IS IMPOSSIBLE!! IT FRUSTRATES ME AND IS BORING.

Soooo Much Fun

Im totally addicted. A challenge without making it utterly impossible

Addicted

Great puzzle game. Im totally addicted!

Meh

The game was fun but not worth the $2 for more levels.

Relaxing yet challenging

This is the kind of game you dont see everyday. Colorful, relaxing, challenging and free (ok, just for a moment). Get it, and feel the experience.

Unexpected Fun

Been following the developer on Twitter while he developed the program and didnt know what to expect with a name like Landformer (still think it stinks). BUT this app is GREAT FUN as I plan each move in my head and try to solve the puzzles. Highly recommend.

nice

pretty entertaining, i spent hours on this

Not free, 3 minute demo then $2 

You get to play a few simple demo levels and then they want you to pay $2 to download real levels, not a free app at all 

Too many ads

This is a short demo of an interesting game; it is crippled unless you use in-app purchase to enable saving and get more levels. Since this is a giant sales pitch anyway, the insane number of ads gets really annoying.

NOT FREE

You get 10 "training" levels for free, which just help you understand the basic mechanics of the game. Theyre too easy to be called "fun". Admittedly, its a cool concept, and I like the graphics; but its just a trap for in-ap purchases. They could at least give you 10 real, challenging, fun levels for free, and then maybe Id consider buying more. I couldve gotten so much more with that bandwidth...

Dont waste time

Dont waste your time. The free version only provides about ten super easy levels. I cant tell if I would like to buy the game or not. Definately not if the levels are that easy. There needs to be more levels with some being more difficult so you can tell if you want to buy the real game.

User-generated content FTW

LandFormer is a great puzzle game that can be played in short sessions, which is perfect for the iOS devices. The design is simple: the player tries to flatten the board using different patterns. The challenge comes when trying to match or beat the number of moves the creator of the board took when creating it. A board editor is included in the game that allows you to create new boards and share them via email with a snapshot and a link that loads the board into the game when clicked from an iOS device. Using a blogging service, such as Posterous or Wordpress, players can post their boards to the web via email for the entire community to share. The editor controls are the same as playing a board. Purchasing the premium content gives you access to 50 new boards, save boards that youve created, and save boards that other players have created. The premium content basically ensures that youll never run out of content. The iOS needs more games like this. The controls are well-suited for tapping, the menu is easy to navigate, it plays easily in short sessions, and user-generated content is available to keep the game fresh.

Fun game!

Youll really need to buy the in-game levels to enjoy the full experience of the game though.
